Meet Jenna Schuett and Eric Corbine.

Eric is the Head Chef at Wausau On Water in Wausau. Jenna is the Assistant General Manager and Food and Beverage Manager at City Grill Restaurant & Event Space in Wausau.

Jenna was a photographer for Eastbay | footlocker.com for almost four years. That position is what originally brought the couple to Wausau.

"We actually never planned on buying a home, but we were unable to find a landlord that would rent to us with our 75-pound pit bull, Boss." said Eric.

"We are so grateful that it turned out this way." said Jenna. "This was a true blessing in disguise."

The couple bought their home on the west side of Wausau in 2016.

"Our hobbies include watching a lot of YouTube videos as we try to learn how to fix things around our house." said Jenna.

"We are first time homeowners and enjoy the challenges that being a homeowner brings." said Eric. "Especially in an older home. Our home was built in 1889."

The couple enjoys being close to many amenities in the city.

"Our home is perfectly centered between downtown and Marathon Park." said Jenna. "We feel fortunate to have found our home when we did. We have an adequate yard for the dogs, two city lots on a big corner."

"My favorite part about Wausau is how involved in the arts it is." said Jenna. "I enjoy the beautiful murals and the Art in the Park every year."

The couple's current careers reflect their first meeting.

"Eric and I met in 2013 while I was working at The Phoenix Bar & Grill in Baldwin, Wisconsin." said Jenna. "He was living in River Falls at the time and I was attending college in Minneapolis."

"I grew up in Baldwin and took the job on a whim because my parents still lived there." added Jenna. Eric grew up on the Bad River Reservation in Ashland.

Eric has a Business degree from UW-River Falls and Jenna has Bachelor's degree in photography from the Art Institutes International in Minnesota.

And one of Eric's passions is cooking.

"Cooking is his life." said Jenna. "He will spend 13 hours and work and come home and cook. He is constantly trying new things and perfecting his trade."

Jenna has struggled with hearing loss all her life. With a profound hearing loss in her right ear and moderate loss in her left ear, she has learned to read lips well. She is currently saving up for some new hearing aids.

"Our dogs are also a hobby for us!" said Jenna. "We love spending time spoiling them and enjoying our large fenced in yard."

The couple has a trio of dogs: Boss, an American Staffordshire Terrier; Mya, is a rescue red nose pit bull; and Hera is a rescue Catahoula Leopard mix.

Eric enjoys watching high school hockey and cheers on the Chicago Bears during football season. Jenna, on the other hand, grew up watching the Green Bay Packers.

Jenna also enjoys photography in her free time and other arts & crafts like pour painting and macramé.

The couple is engaged to be married in 2021.
