King Margo

King Margo is Rachel Coats and Lucciana Costa, both lifelong performers, road warriors, session players and recording artists. Radio personality Rob Reinhart says of their new material: “Great stories in beautifully crafted songs with the sweetest harmonies you’ll hear this year.”
Dubbed “lipstick dirtbag Americana,” King Margo is known for putting on high-energy, fun, and musically adept shows. The women also play with Gabe Lee, Hollier and Tyler Halverson, and have shared a bill with Riders In The Sky, Seth Walker, Susan Werner, and Grammy-nominated artist Seth Glier.
For 2022’s release Waters Rise, King Margo offers an evolved sound. The songs are more personal. The arrangements are more intricate, featuring soaring harmonies that have captured listeners across the country. There are songs of the mundane nature of real love, rich people going to space, and partying during the apocalypse.
Produced by Gabe Lee, David Dorn and Alex Torrez, Waters Rise will be released through Torrez Music Group in September of 2022.
