Summer fun is back in Downtown Wausau and it starts this weekend with music and outdoor dining on Saturday, June 12.
Living River will perform on the 400 Block from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in a free concert to benefit the North Central Region of myTEAM TRIUMPH, a group that helps special needs individuals participate in swimming, biking and running events and races. Living River is a popular local quartet that performs a blend of country, contemporary praise and a cappella styles.
“There are no coronavirus-related restrictions so guests can relax and enjoy the evening,” said Tina Lechner of myTEAM TRIUMPH. “It’s a free concert, however, donations will be accepted for myTEAM TRIUMPH events, in particular, we’re raising money for the 12-hour Road America event in August.”
In addition to great music, Dining on the Street returns to Third Street on Wednesdays and Saturdays throughout the summer. Enjoy dining in the open air at your favorite Downtown Wausau restaurants from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“We are so excited to help bring this popular event back again,” said Blake Opal-Wahoske, Wausau River District Executive Director. “Dining on the Street this year will be hosted in conjunction with Concerts on the Square. We encourage folks to make reservations directly at their favorite participating restaurant to ensure that they get a seat outside and continue to practice restaurant policies regarding restrictions.” Visit Wausau River District for more information.
June just keeps getting better with free Concerts on the Square every Wednesday. Kicking it off on June 16 at 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. is Pacific Coast Highway singing hits from the ‘70s and beyond. Food trucks also will be out. For a full summer schedule, visit Wausau Events.
Then, you won’t want to miss Vic Ferrari “Symphony on the Rocks” on Friday, June 18 at 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the 400 Block for a special night of entertainment. Full on rock concert with all the classics, lights and excitement with a symphony of sound. Dining on the Street also will be going on from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
